Good Things for your Brain

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Most Densavillagers appreciate brain stimulation activities anyway, but it’s nice to see it all down in a neat list. It makes us feel we’re doing something RIGHT for a change.

Check out Brainz.org’s list: 15 Ways to Hack Your Brain for a Better Life. Our group can certainly appreciate Hack #5 and #7! Those are what brought us together in the first place!

Dieting Like a Genius

Friday, March 28th, 2008

I am always looking for ways to improve myself in both mind and body. (Especially for the ever-elusive “quick fix”!) During one of my many jaunts along the information highway, I came across this site which lists 8 ways of thinking like a genius. This is all good advice, but what if you want to DIET like a genius? Brain Work

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

brain workoutDangit!! Why does your body need so much stinking healthy food and exercise? Eating tasteless food and sweating is SO good for you, but so darn.. ICKY (can you tell I’m on a diet right now?). Well, don’t neglect your brain! Like everything else in your body, it needs good nutrition and a good workout to keep it in good fighting.. uh.. thinking shape.

You’re on your own for nutrition, but we’ve got you covered on the exercise part. (Our community was formed around Mind Games, after all!) Socyberty has collected Top Ten Websites for Brain Training. Visit a few of these sites while you are on your downtime, or as part of your morning routine or after your physical workout (did I say something funny there?).

I personally have “Brain Age” for the NintendoDS and enjoy it very much. It is fun to compete with myself for the youngest Brain Age each day. I really do think I am getting better!

If only I could have as much fun exercising the rest of me… *sigh*
