Saving Videos
Friday, November 30th, 2007A Villager wrote to me asking how to save the videos on Densaville to their own computer. This is a great idea for watching videos offline, or converting the videos to a smaller format for your portable media player. (Please do not email videos. No one likes waiting for an email to download! Send the permalink of the video instead, or better yet, the permalink to the Densaville.com post containing the video!)
As you may have noticed, these videos are a format which makes downloading and saving difficult.
There are programs that you can download which will convert videos for you, but better yet are services available online to do this!
Here are some options:VConvert; Vixy.net; and if you have FireFox as your browser, you can install Video Download Helper.
Of course, there’s always THE HARD WAY.

Yes, I’m spacey this month. But why should this month be different than any other, right? Here is a neat website that will calculate your age if you lived on one of the other planets in the solar system.
I love skywatching. Even before I knew anything about what was up there, I was in awe of the night sky. Do you like skywatching too? How about when you are sharing the sight with someone close to you? How neat would it be if you could point out celestial sights to your friends and family?
