Funny Commercials

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

How many times have things from TV commercials become in-jokes with you and your friends? Well, since I”m a TV junkie, and many of my friends are, that happens to us a LOT. There are a couple of sites out there which collect funny commercials across the web. When you need a smile, these are fun sites to browse! Be warned! Some were never aired as they were “Too Racy” for TV and as such, may be considered NSFW.

You can find this commercial and others at FunnyCommercials.net and VeryFunnyAds.Com.

Which Superhero are YOU?

Monday, September 24th, 2007

PhantomTake this quiz to find out which superhero you are most like. (or which SuperVillain if that is your preference. :))

Or be bold! Strike out on your own with the Super-Hero Generator .. get your name, powers and weapons for fighting crime (or committing crime, if you’re a super villain)!!

Myself, I’m the Superman type. I haven’t generated my unique superhero/villain self yet. I’ll wait until I need a nemesis for myself.

Which superhero are YOU?

I Can Has Cheezburger, Lol Cat?

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

I am so addicted to the sites Icanhascheezburger.com and lolcats.com. I check them every day and browse the archives when I’m bored.

Here’s the deal: People find pictures of funny cats (”lolcats”) around the web and put funny captions on them, often in silly, horrible web-grammar shorthand. There are several running gags throughout the site, including cats wanting cheeseburgers, cats and walruses wanting buckets, and invisible props. (lolcats.com is cat-specific, though)

If you have some free time, allow yourself to wander the sites and share the lolz wit ur frinds.

Careful if sharing with kids! Not all pics/captions are kid-friendly!

The Call of Cthulhu Gamers Club site is now open at this link (added to our blogroll, too!).  Further updates on the Gamers Club will be posted there. Be sure to subscribe to the RSS feed if you want to know when the site is updated! I will be filling out the site with a lot of the basics shortly and updating it after each gaming session.

New Game for Call of Cthulhu Gamers Club

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

The Densaville Call of Cthulhu Gamers Club will be starting a new game in the next two weeks. The game itself will be taking place in our gaming room in our private Resident Center (our message board). For the first time, though, the story will be presented here on Densaville.com for sharing with our family and friends! Your comments on the action will be most welcome.

If you are unfamiliar with Call of Cthulhu (”CoC”), here are the basics:H. P. Lovecraft

  • CoC is a role playing game .. this means that there is a story and the Players play characters within the story. The story is presented by a narrator or gamemaster. In CoC, this person is called a “Keeper of Lore” or just “Keeper.” The Keeper describes the scenes and characters that the players meet during the tale. The Players make all the decisions on what they do in the story, so we never know how it will turn out… not even the Keeper knows!
  • CoC’s stories are based on the writings of H. P. Lovecraft, a horror writer of the 1920’s. Most games take place in the 1920’s and our game will as well. The “mythos” Lovecraft created for his stories are the basis for the scenarios played, as well as the creatures and characters encountered.

Any Densavillagers who wish to play should sign up in the Call of Cthulhu Gamers Club. Anyone who wants to watch the story unfold and see how well ( or IF) our players survive, watch the Gamers Club or Densaville.com for further info.
