Photos, photos, what to do with photos?

Sunday, June 17th, 2007

I love this site.  Photojojo has nifty ideas for photography projects, reviews on new products relating to photography (little bitty camcorders, pictures frames, services, tripods, etc).  There are tutorials for fun things to do.  Check out the archives!  A lot of great ideas there.

UPDATED with new link!

Densavillagers know that I am a fan of spooky stories. Well I found a spooky story in a surprising place, a Doctor Who episode! You do not have to be a fan of the show to appreciate the absolute creepiness of this story. Don’t BLINK!

A Neat Knitter, Lucy Neatby

This is a great site from several different perspectives. Lucy is a former Merchant Navy Officer originally from Great Britain and now living in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She is a fabulous fiber artist, designer, teacher and an all around interesting person. Check her out at http://www.tradewindknits.com/

Woot.com–Neat Shopping Site

Sunday, June 10th, 2007

Here is a site that I have been visiting almost daily for quite some time. Woot.com: One Day, One Deal.
woot This site puts up one item per day, and when it’s gone.. it’s GONE! No matter what the item is, the shipping is $5. Sometimes, that’s a bargain! Sometimes, it’s not. It’s fun to read how they describe each item every day. Also check out the comments thread! Your fellow Wooters are always stepping up to give reviews of the item and compare prices from around the web.

Woot will also offer up “side deals” each day (linked in the extreme upper right of the homepage) and has a separate site for you vino lovers called wine.woot.

I have personally shopped at this site, and their oft-offered side deal site, TigerDirect.Com for electronics and am very comfortable recommending these sites to my fellow Villagers.

Densaville.com is now up!
